After four weeks of living with the parents, I have finally
moved back in with Martin and into our home in San Francisco…the bathroom
renovations are done!
While I was off sleeping in various beds throughout the
greater bay area (I took the opportunity to see friends outside of San
Francisco - specifically those with guest bedrooms to get a break from
Lafayette), Martin was at Kramer Place working day and night to finish the last
room of the house. Utilizing our gym
membership, he would work all day and then head down to the YMCA, covered in
dirt, sweat (and tears) to shower and clean up…I am guessing this is the first
time in a while that the SF Embarcadero YMCA was used for one of its original
purposes.
Below are the photos of Martin’s hard work!
The faucets we had Imported from Walla Walla Washington
(thanks Shan!)
The tiles (and grout) that I thought might give Martin a
heart attack
The fancy European Toilet that sparked the first “discussion”
of the whole renovation project
And the hooks that inspired it all
